The Molecular Ecology Working Group (MEWG) is offering up to 3 travel grants to help current or recently graduated students participate in The Wildlife Society’s 2025 annual conference. This grant will cover up to $1000 of the recipient’s travel and registration costs. Applications are Due July 1st, 2025 at 5:00 pm Pacific Time, and recipient(s) will be notified of their award by July 23rd, 2025 to facilitate early bird registration for applicants. The successful candidate(s) will be chosen by the MEWG Executive Board.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility standards:
A current member of The Wildlife Society and Molecular Ecology Working Group
A current graduate or undergraduate student, or recent graduate (degree received during previous 12 months)
Willing to contribute to MEWG activities, such as helping onsite with a booth, blog/newsletter contribution, etc.
Must not have received the travel award in the previous year
Open to all students to support attendance of conference for professional development, presenting, or networking. Accepted talk or poster is no longer a requirement. Preference may be given to applicants who are presenting in a subject area relevant to the MEWG.
Applications must include:
A statement (<350 words) describing the benefit(s) you expect to obtain from attendance at this meeting. How will attendance at the TWS annual meeting enhance your career goals?
A budget showing projected conference travel expenses and any other potential travel funding. Budget should clearly indicate which expenses would be covered by the MEWG grant, and which would be out-of-pocket and/or covered by other funding.
If applicable, please provide an abstract of accepted talk/poster
