2026 Travel Grant

The Molecular Ecology Working Group (MEWG) will award 3 travel grants to help current or recently graduated students participate in the Wildlife Society's 2026 annual conference. The application deadline is Friday July 17, 2026 at 5:00 pm Pacific Time
Applicants have to meet the following eligibility standards:
Current member of The Wildlife Society
Current member of the MEWG
A current graduate or undergraduate student, or recent graduate (degree received during the previous 12 months)
Applicants are not required to give a poster or oral presentation at the conference, but preference may be given to applicants who are presenting in a subject area relevant to the MEWG
Willing to contribute to MEWG activities, such as help onsite with working group booth during conference, blog/newsletter contribution, and attend/assist with MEWG business meeting

A paragraph (maximum 350 words) describing:
your interests, experience, and/or involvement in molecular ecology research
your current and planned involvement with TWS and the MEWG
the benefit(s) you expect to gain from attending this meeting – how will attendance enhance your career goals?
A budget showing projected conference travel expenses and any other potential travel funding. Budget should clearly indicate when expenses would be covered by the MEWG grant, and which would be out-of-pocket and/or covered by other funding sources.
